MCL's new kick-out highway pegs add comfort for those long drives. The pegs are the same as your passenger pegs and incorporate the same spring ball lock/ strike plate design that will assure they will not fall down when you don't want them to. The brackets are machined out of solid 5/16" thick aluminum alloy using all stainless hardware to attach to your bike. The mounting plate and block are powder coated to a close match as the engine covers, gray.
Safety First: Note, in the photo you will see that the pegs fold back at a 45 degree angle thus allowing them to fold back towards you if you touch the ground while cornering. Other similar designs fold straight up and will catch if you hit something while cornering, this can spell disaster. Although we have designed this kick back feature into our design we do not recommend these for competitive aggressive riding. If you currently rub your driver pegs a lot on the corners and they are not lowered already do not purchase this product. If you use our lowering brackets for the drivers foot pegs and you drag them in the corners they will touch before the highway peg brackets will if the pegs are up. If they are down they will kick back to the up position.
Installation: Installing the left side takes less than 5 or 10 minutes. Installing the right side will take about 20 to 30 min. as some of the faring has to be loosened but not removed. The left side bracket does not need to be removed to change the oil filter.
